Pauline Forster refurbished this traditional Stepney tavern as an open art area in 2003, a risky endeavour that turned out quite successful. The George Tavern has since become a favorite haunt for artists to meet, create, perform, dance, drink and simply hang out together... also there are frequent concerts and special events. The location may look familiar as it’s been used for many video and photo shoots.
