Bright colours, flashy neon lights and central but cheap. A great place to meet others if you are a lonesome traveller, the Generator Hostel caters to a party-minded crowd (which not surprisingly seems to be predominantly Australian). There’s one in Berlin, too. While you can't expect the same level of comfort in terms of quiet and a smoke-free environment as with a regular hotel, you will find like-minded people who are more interested in having a good time then getting a good night's sleep.
