An ironic architectural statement, this tower was built as a symbol of the socialists superiority in the 1960s but its space-aged feel was quite quickly outdated. Today, it’s just darn nice to look at! You can go up and eat in the revolving restaurant and see stunning views of your new favorite city or just admire it from every angle as you venture around town. You can get the entire interesting history at: http://www.berlinerfernsehturm.de/ , or send your friends back home a virtual tower postcard and even see when they turned it into a football for the World Cup in 2006!
